Michael E. Williams, II

Also known by his producer name “Duce”, is an award winning and chart topping musician, producer, composer, and sound engineer with over 32 years of experience. Being well versed in various genres of music, his services are sought out by artists across the country. His style is an eclectic blend of soul ,gospel, dance, hip-hop, and jazz. Uncommon in his production, Michael believes every situation is unique and should be treated with authenticity. His uncanny ability to remake songs like “Under the Bridge” “Whip It”and “Fever”has garnered him attention throughout the industry.

In November 2019, Michael was honored by Global Music Awards, with the Silver Medal of Outstanding Achievement for his production & mix engineering on the EDM album “Erogenous Zone”by Martone. In November 2018, the song “The Beat Is Calling Me” by Clayton Morgan debuted at #1 on the iTunes Canada Charts. the song is produced, composed and arranged by Mike and is also the follow up to the first #1 song by Clayton Morgan “Taste For Love” in September 2019 which was also produced, composed and arranged by Mr. Williams. Remixed by Marvin Hairston. In September 2017 Global Music Awards proclaimed the cover song “Fever” performed by Martone, produced by Michael as the winner of “The Best Pop Song” category, simultaneously winning in “The Best Electronic Dance Song” category for the remix of the same song. In July 2017, the song “Groove Tonight” along with the album “T.E.O.M.” by Martone, produced, composed and arranged by Mike was placed in the FYC for nomination for “Best Dance song and Album of the year. This album was Globally #1 on the Reverb Nation charts for two straight months of the same year (March and April 2017). The T.E.O.M. album also dominated the charts in Germany, Great Britain, Japan and Australia during this same time period. In March 2015, the gospel song “Grateful” performed by Vera Riley (of Vicki Winans), produced, composed, & arranged by Mr. Williams, was released to critical acclaim on the Universal/Motown digital label. It topped the charts on iTunes for three months (April-June). To date, he has over 2500 music tracks & cues to his name. As well as an intricate part in 100’s of other artists projects. His songs have been featured in small market commercials, television programs and countless broadcast & internet radio stations. As well as the song he composed “Paradise Found” was placed on The “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” program on the CMT channel (Country Music Television). His accolades and achievements are many and was therefore honored by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (Grammys) with a voting membership in October 2017. Where he had the opportunity in voting for the success of other artists including Drake- “Scorpion” (Album Of The Year), Cardi B- “Invasion Of Privacy” (winner/rap album), & Childish Gambino - “This Is America” (winner / song of the year).

Michael currently owns and operates his own production/recording studio “Platinum Keyz Recording Company” out of Lansing, Michigan which was voted by fans and artists alike as “Mid Michigan’s Premier Recording Studio”. Artists have traversed the country seeking his expertise in mixing and production. He is also Minister of Music at two churches in the area (Greater Harvest New Testament Church and Righteous Living Ministries) where he leads, directs and composes original music for the services and recordings. As well as writing and composing for other ministries in the area. Michael is a licensed minister of the gospel. he has traveled as a musician and music director for various recording artists and continues to develop raw talent to maturity.
